In May each year over 80 volunteers undertake the house-to-house collection throughout Kirby Muxloe, Leicester Forest East and Braunstone West. In 2010 this collection raised £5022.36 which will be further increased by the Gift Aid provisions. In the autumn each year the very popular Christian Aid Teatime is held with the venue alternating between St Bartholomew’s Church Hall and the Kirby Free Church Hall. Everyone is invited to come along between 2:00pm and 6:00pm to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of cake and make a donation to the work of Christian Aid. Fairtrade gifts and food are on sale. The date for this year’s Teatime is Friday October 1st 2010 at the Free Church Hall.
