"HANDING ON THE TORCH ... Sacred words for a secular world"
This Lent course, produced by York Courses, has been chosen by Churches Together in Kirby Muxloe and Leicester Forest East as the basis of our bible study during the period of Lent 2012. Several courses will be run throughout each week in the homes of members of both the Parish Churches and Kirby Muxloe Free Church.
Details of the meetings will follow shortly. Contact the church office for details of addresses and leaders of groups.
The following brief synopsis may help to understand the nature and objectives of the course:
"Christianity os the largest movement our word has ever seen. It continues to grow at an immense pace - especially in Asia (including China), Africa and Latin America. At the same time, Christianity is the West struggles to grow and - perhaps - even t survive. In this course we consider some of the reasons for this and what it might mean for individual Christians, for churches and for Western culture, in a world where alternative beliefs are increasingly on offer."
Session 1 - A Christian Country? Session 2 - A Secular Society? Session 3 - A Beleaguered Church? Session 4 - Competing Creeds? Session 5 - Handing on the Torch |

Christian Resources Leicester goes Online |
Christian Resources has been working hard setting up an online store and filling the pages with Christian books, gifts, music and resources that you've come to expect from them. You can now browse online from the comfort of your home, forget the dreary winter weather, make yourself a cuppa and wander through the pages of their store. Check it out by clicking here.
Christian Resources Leicester is a friendly and well established bookshop in the heart of Leicester. The shop now forms an integral part of St Martins House, a building dedicated to hospitality, outreach and service, owned by the Leicester Diocese. All profits from the bookshop are ploughed back into the outreach work of St Martins House.
